Hot water circulating system to reduce deadlegs to apartments
“H-BOX MultiZone” is a system designed to facilitate hot water circulation in apartments in order to reduce dead legs and the hot water delivery time.
It has been designed to create a secondary hot water circulation system where the hot water meters are located in centralised cupboards.

H-BOX ‘multi zone’ hot water circulating system, consisting of heat exchanger, circulating pump, expansion control, timer control, balancing valves, and all ancillary components to facilitate circulation of hot water after a hot water meter to individual apartments and returning back via a common return pipes in order to maintain design temperatures in pipes.
Run the circulating pipe within the apartment as close as practical to each fixture to reduce hot water lag time. Ensure total length of pipe per apartment is less than 40 metres.
Install the return balancing valve after last takeoff in the apartment before connecting to the common return, as shown in the drawings.
Ensure suitable piping system used for continuous use hot water and lagged in accordance with AS/NZS3500.4.
Allow a MINIMUM of 0.08l/s for HBM-6 and 0.1l/s for HBM-10 on the primary side connection to each H-BOX. Contact All Valve Industries for assistance with flow selection.
